Bagpacking in Europe for 2 weeks
My mom and I left to Europe on May 14th and came back on May 27th 2023.
Because my mom is getting close to her 60th birthday I did not want her to be carrying too much luggage.
So I decided to pack two weeks of clothing and personal belongings in a small bag pack, for me to be able to carry my stuff and also to drag along three countries my mom's carry on.
She only had to carry her personal bag with her phone and wallet, and basics.
The bagpack I decided to get was on sale at the time on https://www.decathlon.ca/, turns out this store is only physically located in Eastern Canada (I live in West) but they deliver to Vancouver so you can get yours delivered as well !.
The bagpack was a 20L bagpack the brand is "Quechua", 100% recommend this bagpack.
After I got the bag I was right away in love with it, it has so many pockets and very convenient zippers.
The bag was very comfortable to carry around Europe, so no complains, nothing that bothered me at all.
There are a lot of stairs in Europe so if you are thinking on not getting a carry on and instead getting this bag pack, GREAT CHOICE !!!
Anyways getting to the things I packed and ended using and the things I did not need:
Things I packed that I ended using:
1 x Denim Jacket (unsure why I only packed one, because Paris was a bit cold and I wished I brought two jackets instead)
1 x comfortable cotton long dress ( this was my flight dress, super comfortable) got it at Ardene.
5 x dress (the very thin fabric dress, some of dress were thrifted or some of them I bought them from Ardene)
1 x biker short (to wear under my dress, from Ardene as well)
3 x bras
10 x panties
10x pairs of socks
1 x white short (H&M)
1x black denim skirt
5 x T-shirts (get basics so you can combine)
1 x travel blanket (super useful for the train and the plane, and some hotels as well, bought it as the same store were I got the bag pack)
1 x small bag with bathroom necessities ( got the small containers from the Dollar Store and filled them out with : face cream, sunscreen, face soap, shampoo, conditioner, body cream, Vaseline) I also brought a small toothpaste, toothbrush and a razor.
1 x pair of white trainers (I think they are Puma) (they were not that comfortable)
1 x cap
1 x pair of sun glasses
1 x package with 20 pairs of contact lenses
1 x camera (I use Canon, brought it along with my lens, and the charger)
3 x types of electrical adaptors (one for each country we visited)
1 x small bag pack (for daily city use)
I also brought some medicine: pain killers, sleep pills, allergy pills, and tummy related relief pills.
And of course my phone, passport, and all the cables needed to charge my electronics.
Things I packed that I DID NOT use:
Travel towels (all hotels had their towels and I did not go to the beach)
Swimsuit (I brought it just in case, but "just in case" did not happen ahah)
I would also not recommend to bring:
Big hats
Umbrella (only needed it once in Rome but you can easily find them for $5 dollars)
